The SGW extension cable will make it much easier for you to connect and disconnect the SGW gate unlocking module to your Jeep. Most FCA vehicle models from the 2018 model year (i.e. manufactured since the second half of 2017) have a Security Gateway (SGW) module that acts as a firewall. The SGW module blocks diagnostic tools from executing diagnostic commands on the vehicle.
With the SGW cable, the connection of the gate unlocking module is much simpler and easier and the risk of problems when servicing the vehicle is significantly reduced.
